Occupational stress levels and their consequences have increased significantly in recent decades worldwide, among workers in various fields. This article aims to analyze the panorama of field research investigating the influence of biophilic healthcare work environments on user well-being. To this end, a systematic literature review was conducted using databases to analyze the methodologies, main results, and existing gaps. All studies concluded that natural elements applied to healthcare work environments favored user well-being. Natural light was identified as the most desired resource by respondents. Views to the outside were considered more appealing when there was greater transparency between the environments. It was also found that people tend to spend less time commuting in hospitals that offer such views. Furthermore, employees, patients, and visitors presented different needs related to biophilia for their well-being, suggesting the importance of considering diverse profiles when planning environments. It is concluded that architectural solutions that integrate natural elements are beneficial for everyone who frequents these environments.
