The lack of integration between hospitals and their neighborhoods is a challenge to be overcome, breaking with the legacies of their past and moving towards mutual cooperation, aimed at the well-being and health of the population. Promoting this integration, however, is complex and requires attention to various aspects, such as geophysical and climatic factors; accessibility, connectivity and mobility; functions and activities; form and culture. This article focuses on factors related to health and comfort, with the aim of evaluating them from the point of view of the neighborhood and the building complex that makes up the São Vicente de Paulo Hospital (HSVP), located in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana/RJ. Six criteria were adopted, which, when evaluated, allow us to identify the contributions or failures of each of these actors in the health and comfort conditions of urban spaces, verifying whether or not there is integration from this perspective. Bibliographical, documentary and field research was carried out, providing the basis for discussions and characterizing the objects of study. The final evaluation highlighted the gaps in integration between the hospital and its surroundings, facilitating the identification of possible solutions to be adopted.
