Práticas e recursos de folga na construção modular integrada: investigando o trabalho-como-realizado

A Construção Modular Integrada (CMI) é uma alternativa para reduzir a variabilidade no canteiro de obra. Nesse método, o projeto é dividido em módulos que são produzidos em um ambiente controlado e posteriormente transportados para o local de montagem. No entanto, a CMI adiciona complexidade em outros níveis, como a interdependência entre setores (projeto, fábrica, logística e montagem), prazos curtos e variação da demanda. Isso requer o acionamento de práticas e recursos de folga (PRF) que contribuam para reduzir a lacuna entre o trabalho-como-realizado e o trabalho-como-imaginado. O presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar o uso das folgas no trabalho-como-realizado de uma empresa de construção modular integrada. Um estudo de caso foi conduzido em uma empresa de CMI que atendia duas obras de grande porte. As fontes de evidência incluem observação não-participante em reuniões de planejamento, análise de documentos e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados apontam para a importância das PRF na redução da lacuna entre o trabalho planejado e o realizado, já que todas as práticas identificadas foram oportunistas, atuando informalmente para suprir deficiências do planejamento. Também destacam a necessidade de considerar o compartilhamento de recursos entre unidades fabris como fator crítico para o sucesso dos projetos na CMI.
