A indústria da construção civil é reconhecida pelos processos de execução complexos e pela participação de vários agentes intervenientes. A falta de padronização e erros humanos causam atrasos, perdas e prejuízos financeiros. Neste contexto, este estudo analisa o uso da tecnologia internet das coisas (IoT) no gerenciamento da construção enxuta, por meio de uma revisão sistemática de literatura, verificando seu impacto na eficiência da construção em quesitos como produtividade e redução de perdas. A utilização da IoT integrada a outras tecnologias, como por exemplo o BIM, possibilita a criação de um gêmeo digital da obra, permitindo uma gestão em tempo real de forma remota, facilitando tomadas rápidas de decisões e identificação precoce de falhas. Sendo assim, este trabalho busca explorar o atual estado de conhecimento do uso da IoT em construções, e assim visualizar o potencial dessa tecnologia em transformar o setor. O atual cenário aponta dificuldades na integração entre a IoT e demais tecnologias, mostrando necessário adaptar softwares e equipamentos para melhorar a compatibilidade, troca de dados e uso intuitivo, além da necessidade da difusão do conhecimento e capacitação dos profissionais. Superando as atuais barreiras, começa a se traçar o caminho para automação na construção, promovendo melhor eficiência e sustentabilidade.
