The durability of structural mortars was evaluated with the replacement of cement by Marble and Granite Waste (MGW), in different w/c factors, fixing the workability with the use of a plasticizer additive. Absorption by immersion, porosity, compressive strength, electrical resistivity and accelerated carbonation were studied. It was found that the residue and the plasticizer additive promoted a refinement of the structure, increased capillary coefficient and gain in electrical resistivity. However, the reduction in alkalinity caused by the replacement of cement by an inert material was detrimental to its resistance to carbonation.
