Abstract

Human existence, along with that of other organisms, depends on the energy contained by the sun which, upon arriving on Earth, is flourishing from one place to another and from one form to another, thus creating a wide range of environments, from glaciers deserts to tropical zones. The challenge for each person is precisely to successfully interact with the places where they live. The human body responds dynamically to environmental variables. Interaction that can lead to death if the response is victory or if energy levels go beyond the physiological limits of survival, and sets the strain on the body as it uses its resources to maintain itself in a perfect state of functioning. In the case of the thermal environment, this will determine whether a person is too hot, too cold or thermally comfortable. This present study shows the thermal stress categories found when analyzing 42 years of UTCI (Universal Thermal Climate Index) datas for cities that have hosted ENCAC and ENLAC.
