ESTUDO DE CASO DE UM SUPERMERCADO NA CIDADE DE MACEIÓ-AL

The indiscriminate growth of cities causes unfavorable scenarios to the comfort and tranquility of the population, either by the swelling of the roads by the great fleet of vehicles or by the large commercial zones configured together with residential areas without the proper protection, the places are transformed and when unplanned locations of high noise pollution are set up. This work has the objective of evaluating an unregulated loading and unloading area of a supermarket in the region regarding the noise impact caused to the resident population of the selected study area located in the district of Tabuleiro dos Martins, in the municipality of Maceió- AL. For this, sound measurements were carried out on the spot on four different days of the week: Monday, day of unloading of goods in the Supermarket of the region; Wednesday, typical day; Saturday, day of increase of the commercial activities existing in its immediate surroundings and on Sundays, day of greater movement of pedestrians and vehicles in the place; and at four different times in order to contemplate the business hours and get an overview of the place. Among the days studied, the day of greatest value of the sound pressure level was Monday and the source of the greatest noise production was the trucks waiting in the area for the unloading of goods. The resident population is exposed to high levels of sound pressure due to this activity. In this way, the result exposes the problematic of zoning and city planning, as well as the regular inspection of the management organs in order to guarantee the population basic conditions of comfort in the experience of the Urban space.
