CONFORTO TÉRMICO EM AMBIENTES INTERNOS NO BRASIL E O DESENVOLVIMENTO DA BASE BRASILEIRA DE DADOS
Keywords:
thermal comfort, Brazilian thermal comfort database, field studiesAbstract
The first thermal comfort studies in Brazil began to be developed during the 30s. Although a significant amount of work on the subject is found in different regions of the country, few were nationally and internationally published. Thus, a Brazilian Thermal Comfort Database was created in 2014 focused in recovering and documenting these results. The objective of this paper is to present the Database, describing its characteristics and main results. The method based on the standardization and treatment of raw data from field studies. From which an association analysis was performed. The results highlight some important variations in the thermal perception among people from different climates, which is also influenced by the environment ventilation mode (air-conditioned or naturally ventilated). Furthermore, they also can help on standards definition considering the Brazilian context; to this end, it is necessary to expand the database, focusing on a higher climatic variability, as well as construction types and occupants with different characteristics.
