Due to the importance of modeling building floors in contact with the ground, especially in ground-coupled buildings, this paper aimed to analyze the sensitivity and uncertainties of input parameters related to the object Site:GroundDomain:Slab, part of the EnergyPlus software, for buildings located in the city of Sao Paulo. This approach for modeling ground-to-floor contact comprises input parameters related mainly to the type of soil and the building geometry. Considering the great variability of values to be inserted, a more indepth analysis is required in order to evaluate the impact of each input to the simulation output. Therefore, through the sensitivity analysis this work demonstrated that, among the input parameters of the Ground Domain object studied in this paper, evapotranspiration ground cover, soil thermal conductivity and ground domain depth had a greater impact on the output related to the heat flow that occurs between the floor and the ground. For the uncertainties analysis it was adopted a commercial building with 2,500 m² of floor area exposed to the ground. Variations in the most sensitive parameters resulted in differences in cooling load of 0.1 to 8.9 kWh/m².year in relation to that obtained when adopting the EnergyPlus default values.
