Abstract

The programs aimed at the construction of social housing have become increasingly broad throughout the national territory. And one of the concerns that surround the models of projects directed to the production of these housing complexes is related to the acceptable thermal comfort conditions, which, faced with the different climatic variables existing in the Brazilian regions and the characteristics of each person, are difficult to reach. Despite the publication of specific standards on the thermal performance of buildings, the requirements for meeting its requirements have intensified since the publication of the Brazilian standard NBR 15575. Thus, the objective of this work was to analyze the thermal performance of the closures for two single-family HIS (Social Interest Housing) constructive models, located in distinct bioclimatic zones, in Diamantina and Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. The results, obtained through the simplified analyzes by the data of the Projeteee platform and through the computational simulation performed by the EnergyPlus software, indicated that meeting the thermal performance criteria defined by parts 1, 4 and 5 of NBR 15575 do not guarantee the comfort conditions for users in the built environment. In view of the results, it is necessary to review the criteria and evaluation methods defined by the Brazilian Standard, so that the parameters defined are consistent with the reality of occupation and use of HIS buildings.
