ABSTRACT This study analyzed the thermal behavior of a vegetated roof, one year after planting, applied to a low-mass, fiber-glass security booth in Curitiba, PR. For this, two experimental modules were used, one of which was covered by a vegetated roof of the extensive type and a second module remained as a control module, i.e. without application of the system. Thermal monitoring covered a period of two weeks in spring with measurements of air temperature and surface temperature indoors (underneath the ceiling) and outdoors. The vegetated roof lead to more significant results in terms of the reduction of the surface temperature under the ceiling than regarding indoor air temperature reduction.
