Noise in school environments burdens the relationship between teaching and learning and can harm students' and teachers' health. This work aimed to evaluate the temporal evolution of noise in a university environment in Curitiba. He applied acoustic mapping as a prognostic tool in the years 2016 and 2018. Measurements were made at 20 points, the flow of vehicular traffic at these points was counted and stratified. With the noise maps, the simulated and measured equivalent sound pressure levels (Leq) were compared to the maximum limits of NBR 10,151 with 50 dB (A) and the Curitiba Municipal Law 10,625, allowing up to 60 dB (A). The results demonstrate that there was no statistically significant difference between the years 2016 and 2018. It was identified that the campus is in a situation of noise pollution, with all points showing Leq above 50 dB (A). The noise maps identified some internal areas of the campus with acceptable values. It is concluded that noise maps are an indispensable tool for the assessment of noise pollution.
