Abstract

This article is based on the Extension Project "Accessibility in Campuslar-UFS: Proposal of an Accessible Route of the Built Environment". It was done by Architecture and Urbanism course of Universidade Federal de Sergipe, in 2018. The project sought to solve both physical and behavioral problems presented as barriers to the autonomy of circulation during its development, use and staying of the built environment. Addressing the sphere of attitudinal barriers in particular, that is, those created by the behavior of the users of the spaces of the city, this article seeks to communicate the informative educational methodological experiences, applied and developed during the extension project, that aimed to reduce such barriers through the development of knowledge about the importance of inserting the human scale into the design process, especially for accessibility, as well as the great influence that people, as forming agents and enjoyers of such developed spaces, have in the quality of life of the other users.
