This article presents post-occupation evaluation from accessibility and universal design perspective, based on a collaborative action with professionals among various academic trainings. This study object local was the Central Library of Universidade Federal da Paraíba – UFPB, and has been developed for Users' Centered Project discipline of PGAUP (Post Graduation on Architecture and Urbanism Program from UFPB) considering ergonomic parameters such as accessibility and environmental comfort. The methodology consisted on 04 steps: 01) referential and documentary survey, 02) guided visit to the library object of study with the Central Library (CL) employers - key users were considered in an informative, consultative and / or participative way (using walkthrough method); 03) collaborative design practice, which authors united their multidisciplinary knowledge to evaluate the collected data and to propound spatial adequacy; 4) discussion and presentation of proposals with the other participating groups of the matter discipline. The results demonstrate this approach feasibility and the need of adequacy for proposed methodology to make the design processes more efficient, so contributing to signaling systems more adequate to its real users needs. The obtained result proves that a participative project process contributes positively for design process' better results, in which different professionals knowledge complement each other.
