Abstract

The perception and understanding of the space allow the user a safer movement throughout a certain built environment, mainly by people with disabilities, whose spatial reading takes place in a different way. Considering the need to guarantee rights and access to all people, numerous strategies to aid the process of displacement have been researched and developed, and tactile signaling is one of the possibilities that also includes visually impaired people. Thinking about this, the Accessibility Laboratory LACESSE / UFPB, has been developing ergonomic tools to aid mobility and environmental perception, notably tactile-visual maps. In this article, is presented the elaboration of a map modeled and printed in 3D technology for the Center of Technology - CT of the institution - where the laboratory is inserted - which is used as a tool to aid in localization and displacement. The three-dimensional graphic representation was the result of a joint work between undergraduate students of Architecture of the UFPB and undergraduate students of Industrial Engineering of the Université Grenoble Alpes, France, during exchange in the Brazilian laboratory. The final product installed in the university is contributing to spatial orientation and the consequent displacement of diverse users in an autonomous form, whether student, teacher or employee, with or without disabilities.
