The current pandemic scenario of COVID-19 (Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) has provoked great changes in the forms of organization of the universities, which have focused on planning adapted procedures that fit the new conditions, such as the adoption of online classes with synchronous and asynchronous activities. Therefore, four scientific initiation researches aiming to support the development of didactic activities to be performed through digital tools were created. They sought to ensure the learning of the theoretical concepts related to the environmental comfort disciplines of the undergraduate course of the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of São Carlos (IAU-USP) by proposing active teaching methodologies, which promote the involvement of students in the learning process through the resolution of practical and realistic problems. This article in turn intends both to present the researches’ experiences and to make an analysis of the use of digital tools in the teaching processes. The adopted methodology consisted of: survey of digital tool options, selection for the elaboration of the didactic activities and experimental application with further analysis of the results. The results of the evaluation allowed to corroborate the efficiency of digital tools to promote active teaching methodologies and to recognize the incentive to the variability of responses based on the students' particular reflection. In conclusion, the analyzes also made it possible to enunciate indications for future applications of the activities, such as the inclusion of a subsequent moment of discussion with the students, and for the proposition of new activities using digital tools.
