Building energy simulation software consider many parameters, some of which may have great influence on the results. Uncertainties associated with such parameters may be responsible for possible errors in the energy performance indicators obtained. In this regard, the calibration of the computational model is fundamental to reduce errors since it allows to promote the adjustment of the input data relative to the analyzed building. The objective of this paper is to present the calibration procedure of the computational model of a social housing located in bioclimatic zone 3, simulated on EnergyPlus software. Calibration involved 32 days of analysis. Sensors installed outside the building recorded air temperature and relative humidity. Solar radiation, wind direction and speed were monitored at the IAPAR weather station. Barometric pressure was collected in INMETs database. Sensors installed inside the building recorded ground temperature, which was used as input data in the simulation. Indoor air temperature was monitored by sensors installed in each of the rooms and compared to simulated temperature. The RMSD obtained in the first version of the computational model was 5.36 °C, for the living room. The calibrated version presented, for the same room, RMSD equal to 0.75 °C. The calibration procedure allowed us to identify points that deserve special attention when configuring the computational model of a building, such as the use of reliable ground temperature data and the detailed consideration of solar incidence on the facades.
