The occurrence of accessibility problems in Historic Heritage is a reality in several cities in Brazil, which has limited the opportunity for many people fully enjoy these environments, often impairing comfort from the ergonomics point of view. The article reflected on the importance of accessibility in historical heritage as a requirement for environmental quality; evaluating registered architectural examples located in Campina Grande/PB, through Post-Occupation Evaluation. The research began through a bibliographic and documental survey, followed by a post-occupation evaluation in the Municipal Theater that took place from the perspective of the researcher, using the following tools: an Accessibility Assessment Worksheet and the Universal Tool D; and finally, interviews were conducted with users with disabilities. The data collection process involved an on-site assessment with measurements, photographs and observations. From the analysis of the results of the spreadsheet, it found that the building evaluated has serious problems regarding spatial accessibility in all built environments and with the Universal D tool, it can be see that the building project did not follow the Principles of Universal design satisfactorily in its various construction elements. There was a consensus among users about the existing difficulties in building related to spatial orientation. It can concluded that the building does not provide ergonomic comfort especially for people with disabilities, and that the use of various methods allows both a detailed view of issues related to accessibility in environments and allows a more general analysis based on the principles of Universal Design and opinion of users.
