The 2020 pandemic affected globally the link between people and the built environment. The domestic setting has been the scenery of the quarantine, and it was the most modified space in this period. This article is the result of a project developed by the accessibility lab of the Federal University of Paraiba, which sought to understand the adaptations made in the domestic setting, during the COVID 19 pandemic, through the users opinions, in order to ponder about the relationship between people and the built environment. The method was divided in three stages: 1) Planning and forming a multidisciplinary group, structured to contemplate a wide range of workers with variety performances. Then, 20 people were invited to answer the question, related to the domestic setting: “How the pandemic affected your perception of the environment that you live in?”. 2) Dissemination of the obtained answers, which were recorded on video format, and published on the lab’s social media platform (Instaram profile), forming the project Lacesse Com Vida. 3) Finally, the speeches analysis, using softwares such as Iramuteq and Exel. The data showed that a significant part of the interviewees had adapted the domestic settings to a new routine that began to include other activities, such as home office. In conclusion, the pandemic affected the way that people relate to their homes, under many adaptations, beholding new functions, strongly related to a new reality of jobs.
