UMA FAMÍLIA DE PICTOGRAMAS PARA PARÂMETROS DE CIRCULAÇÃO EM ARQUITETURA E SEU DESENVOLVIMENTO

This research seeks to address the issues of circulation in architecture can help support the design process during the problem solving stage, though a card game containing the graphical representation of these concepts. Circulation issues in architecture are relevant to the discipline, because they impact the configuration, articulation and quality of space; however, as they are qualitative, are rarely included in the policies regulating design procedures, while their impacts on the design are still little discussed in the early phases of a design process. Thus, in order to enable the contribution of these concepts to the design process in its synthesis phase, a stage of the design thinking (Design Thinking), this research, of an exploratory type, aims to develop a tool to support teaching-learning of the design process. The tool is introduced as a card game whose development started from the transformation of a set of concepts about circulation issues, represented in a visual and standardized way, displayed in a family of pictograms. To validade the game as a teaching activities, the next stage of the research is the application of the tool, in design practice, with architecture students, and subsequent analysis of the data. As a partial result, the research brings, so far, the transposition of pictograms, as informative and graphic content, for the composition of Concept Cards. Our hypothesis is that the game, due to its informational content translated into graphic language, can stimulate, even in the context of learning, the discussion about environmental comfort in the built space, and the use of circulation concepts as support in the stages of decision making in the design process.
