Performance and comfort in the school environment are fundamental tools for the good development of the teaching and learning process at school. Thus, this study aims to anticipate guidelines regarding bioclimatic strategies for a public high school in the city of Engenheiro Coelho, São Paulo. To develop the guidelines, climate data from the region were directed through the software: Climate Consultant and ProjetEEE, complemented by data from INMET. In addition to these, through the LightStanza Software, an insolation study was carried out with a classroom model in the main orientations, North, South, East, and West. All the climate study developed was possible to affect the bioclimatic to be adopted in the project to guarantee the best comfort conditions. For the hottest periods of the year, implemented as adjustment chimneys, adequate sizing of openings for insolation and obtaining, skylights and light shelves, for the use of natural lighting, the use of brises and shading to reduce radiation in the building, use of vegetation which in addition to helping with radiation also helps control humidity, acoustic comfort. For periods with greater thermal amplitude and the strategies already considered, the adoption of medium intensity, construction and roof sealing will help comfort in the building. Although the software does not consider the building typology in their analyses, the application of strategies can offer the equivalent of 89.1% or 7807 hours of comfort without the use of artificial strategies, proving the importance of adopting these solutions.
