Abstract

The improvement in the thermal performance of buildings using green envelopes, whether applied to roofs or facades, has been the subject of several studies at the international and national levels. In this sense, this work is dedicated to the thermal analysis of a classroom covered with an extensive green roof, located in Liceu Francês de Brasília through computer simulation. The DesignBuilder software will be used for classroom modeling and the EnergyPlus calculation tool version 9.4 for thermal simulations. The sensitivity analysis method will be explored with the simulation of the green roof in its current condition and also a scenario that replaces the vegetated roof with a fiber cement roof with a natural finish and another painted in white, in order to quantify the thermal benefits and / or losses for each project alternative. The objective is to contribute to the study on the use of extensive green roofs in the climatic context of Brasília.
