Given the current scenario of climate change and the increase in extreme events, it is essential to adapt urban infrastructures to mitigate the impacts of urban heating. Considering that school buildings are numerous public facilities, used daily, well distributed across cities, including peripheral areas, and can be repurposed for community use during extreme heat events, this project aims to evaluate the microclimatic performance and thermal comfort of a network of urban oases in schoolyards in São Paulo, combining green infrastructures and cooling strategies. The method involves a critical analysis of existing measures, as well as measurements, experiments, and microclimatic simulations to estimate the impacts on current and future thermal comfort. The expected results include microclimatic and thermal data on the proposed strategies, as well as the spatialization of this network’s potential within the city.
