Teaching and learning strategies in the Architecture and Urbanism program encompass both theoretical and practical aspects. The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes, requiring adaptations in the educational environment. This study examines students' experiences in the Thermal Comfort course at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, considering both remote learning and the post-pandemic context. Student projects were analyzed, and questionnaires were conducted to assess the challenges faced and the factors influencing the learning process. Adapting to remote learning was particularly challenging for practical activities requiring in-person supervision, limiting communication and students' critical understanding. In contrast, in-person learning fostered interaction in the laboratory and classroom, which proved essential for a more comprehensive education, encouraging discussions and long-term knowledge retention.
