This paper presents a case study to improve the acoustic conditions in classrooms in public schools. The approach consists of performing acoustic measurements and simulations, aiming to evaluate the conditions of these environments. The adopted method includes an architectural survey of the environment, followed by the construction of a 3D model that represents the rooms. This step allows the planning of essential aspects for conducting the acoustic measurements. The measurements aim to obtain objective parameters of the rooms, using the impulsive response survey (IRR) in a classroom. Based on the results obtained, the acoustic simulation software allows the calibration of the 3D model. Once calibrated, this model can be used to suggest improvements in the acoustic conditioning. Thus, a model classroom is made available, whose adjusted absorption coefficients are used in the simulations of other rooms that share similar characteristics to the room analyzed.
