Abstract

This research aims to verify the thermal contribution of the vertical system of vegetation to the bioclimatic zone 2, considering that studies for this region are scarce. For this, three different buildings were used, in the first a living wall was implanted, a green facade was installed in the second, and a third served as a witness and suffered no intervention. To verify the shading capacity of each system, the measurement of environmental variables was performed. The results show a reduction in the temperature of the indoor air, confirming that the shading system can be used to improve the thermal performance of buildings.
