Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the performance of an environment adapted for hospital isolation of patient with COVID-19, using the Post-Occupancy Evaluation. We present partial results of measurements of environmental conditions and of semi-structured interviews carried out with employees of a hospital emergency room. After comparing the information obtained, together with the mention of the main standards related to the subject, we emphasize the need for adequate systems to control temperature, humidity and pressure and to guarantee renewal and filtration of the air, in addition to the existence of visibility between patient and staff, antechamber and private bathroom.
