The construction industry has immense importance due to its representativeness in global GDP and its socio-environmental impacts. With advances in the implementation of digital technologies, aiming for increased productivity and efficiency of its processes, implementation guidelines are necessary. This research investigates the results in productivity and efficiency of the application of the Internet of Things technology during the execution phase of the work. Through the research-action methodology, the application’s dynamic and a vision of evolution towards a Digital Twin are presented, demonstrating direct and indirect impacts on financial results and optimization of resources, for the production chain.
