The use of vegetated systems in constructions is revealed as an alternative system to the regular envelopes or coating, which can contribute to a passive thermal comfort strategy. The goal of this research is to evaluate the thermal performance of different green facades while applied to housing programs in bioclimatic zone 2, through simulation software EnergyPlus. The results indicate that, for climas with a big thermal range, setting green facades brings benefits both in summer and winter, in virtue of reducing thermal transferences between surfaces.
