Noise levels are among the most serious environmental problems in open-plan offices, causing fatigue, stress and decreased productivity. Reverberation control is essential to preserve the acoustic quality of these spaces. This research compares the reverberation time in an open-plan office in its original configuration and with sound-absorbing screens, on floor and table, designed specifically for acoustic treatment. Field measurements were performed using the impulsive response method. The results indicate that the sound-absorbing screens provided a significant, but not sufficient, reduction in the room's reverberation time.
