The term resilient cities emerged to designate cities prepared to deal with serious situations in facing social, political and economic problems. For this resilience to be able to offer adequate responses to disasters, it is necessary to deal with a web of factors, including problems related to infrastructure, low-security buildings, adverse effects of climate change and many other factors. In this way, the present work aims to understand the role of resilient cities in dealing with disasters, and what are the necessary urban infrastructure measures to make the municipality of Uruaçu - GO, resilient.
