Abstract

The construction industry has a prominent position in the Brazilian market. The objective of this research was to apply the Lean construction philosophy to a construction project, investigating stakeholder satisfaction. The methodology was composed of descriptive research added to a case study with a qualitative-quanti approach divided: a literature review, the application of the Lean Construction philosophy and an investigation of satisfaction through a questionnaire. The results were subdivided by the application of Lean Construction in the work through the implementation of the systems: kanban, heijunka, andon, kaizen and visual management, and subsequently by the application of questionnaires, showing 87% satisfaction with the use of the philosophy, with an overall average of 4 .35 points, standard deviation of 0.66 points. In this way, the study showed that the application of the Lean Construction philosophy obtained satisfaction from interested parties, demonstrating an evolution of the construction industry in the acceptance of good practices.
