Abstract

This article addresses the global trend of urbanization and reliance on fossil fuels, proposing the integration of photovoltaic energy in urban planning through solar neighborhoods. It examines successful examples worldwide, highlighting their effectiveness in energy generation and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. It explores urban planning strategies, such as tax incentives and partnerships with renewable energy companies, to facilitate the adoption of photovoltaic energy. The text emphasizes the importance of urban resilience, aiming to make cities more adaptable to extreme events. It concludes that integrating photovoltaic energy into solar neighborhoods is an effective strategy to promote urban resilience and decarbonization, emphasizing the need for commitment from authorities, businesses, and local communities.
