This paper evaluated the thermal performance of a multifamily vertical building considering the climate change scenarios for 2050 and 2080. This evaluation was carried out with the aid of computer simulations in the EnergyPlus software, considering a standard building model, with construction systems adopted by the construction industry and applied in the various Brazilian climates and bioclimatic zones. The conditions and predictions of climate change that the planet faces were considered. For the scenarios evaluated, although a long period was considered and the recommended useful life of this system is 20 years for the roof as a whole and 13 years for the tiling, it was possible to observe that in bioclimatic zones 01, 02 and 08, the minimum performance recommended by NBR-15575 was maintained, awakening the need to better integrate the requirements adopted by said standard. However, for the other bioclimatic zones, the buildings do not meet the minimum performance requested for the buildings.
