Hospital buildings have a wide range of building facilities, a recurring need to adapt to medical technologies, in addition to the essential guarantee of safety and efficiency during the use and operation of their systems. It is important to use new technologies that can facilitate the maintenance process, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), ensuring the proper functioning of the building and extending its useful life. Therefore, this article carries out a Systematic Review of Literature (RSL) using the Science Direct, Scopus and Web of Science databases, conducted to identify the panorama of scientific production that addresses the relationship between BIM and the maintenance of hospital buildings. The articles were classified by year of publication, magazine, relevance and research objective. It was possible to identify that, despite the BIM methodology being on the rise, its capabilities are still not fully used when it comes to the maintenance stage.
