CONFORTO TÉRMICO EM SALA DE INFORMÁTICA: CONFORTO ADAPTATIVO PELA ASHRAE 55 X CONFORTO RELATADO PELOS USUÁRIOS

The main function of building is intended to users the protection and comfort for the development of its activities and, within school activities, the development of students can be influenced by environmental conditions in which it is. Thus, this study evaluated the thermal comfort of a computer laboratory at the School of Architecture and Urbanism and Design at UFMG - Federal University of Minas Gerais. The methodology for the analysis of thermal comfort consisted in a) application of a questionnaire to 46 students and b) computer simulation to verify hours of thermal comfort in the space. The results obtained in this study indicate that users are unsatisfied with the thermal conditions of the laboratory in the summer but are fairly comfortable in winter. While this sensation is confirmed in winter by the simulation, in the summer the indication that there´s thermal discomfort in 25% of the time seems to underestimate users’ thermal sensation. Nevertheless, as the questionnaires were applied in wintertime the users indications may not be taken as precise for the summer period.
