EVOLUÇÃO DA NBR 9050: UMA BREVE DISCUSSÃO A PARTIR DA AVALIAÇÃO COMPARATIVA ENTRE AS VERSÕES 2004 E 2015

The NBR 9050 accessibility standard (ABNT, 2015) is an important technical reference, having evolved through revisions since its first edition in 1985. Since the publication of new versions, it is necessary the adequacy of verification instruments based on these standards. Therefore, it is important to carry out studies that seek to understand the changes between the different versions of such standards. The present work aims to analyze differences identified between the version of NBR 9050 from 2004 and its previous version from 2015. The results allow us to conclude that the most recent version of the standard, NBR 9050 (ABNT, 2015), is more complete and embracing. However, it still needs some specific improvements such as the need to expand the signaling systems, in addition to the need to consider some special cases of disabilities that are not yet covered in it.
