Projecting to university extension:

Abstract

This article deals with methodological practice used in an extension project developed on the Ribeirinha border of the Muquiço Complex - Guadalupe, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, through didactic methods, for students. I seek to integrate the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with the application in the practice of measurements of climatic variables, through the use of precisely calibrated equipment and the preparation of measurement sheets, aiming at the analysis of bioclimatic characteristics for better understanding of the site and future purpose of fluvial requalification, of the community on the banks of the Sapopemba River. The objective is to transform two students through academic knowledge that transcends the content disseminated in the classroom, through practical application of making measurements of climatic variations. The method, undertaken in six stages, was strategically constructed by the teachers of the architecture and urban planning course at UNISUAM, where carefully planned and directed actions are applied to enable a commitment between university students and the conclusion of the research. The result depends on the success of the experience, in this stage, through the mobilization achieved, the degree of satisfaction expressed by the participants is extensive and the willingness to participate expressly by other students.
