The pandemic present us an opportunity to globally discuss the impact of COVID-19, enhancing the role of housing as a catalyst for ensuring human rights and as a basis for people's well-being and health promotion. In this context, the article aims to investigate how the experience of confinement impacted health and housing conditions, especially in the most vulnerable population. In order to contribute to this demand, the research is carried out based on the systematic review and analysis of the bibliography that has been produced in this period. Using “Housing” and “health” and “COVID-19” as the search term, the survey and identification of articles was carried out from the SCOPUS database of the Elsevier Platform and ScienceDirect, reaching a sample of 14 articles. In relation to this international emergency, the social and economic gap between classes and countries is even clearer, especially in the Southern part of the Globe, is even more evident. High densities generate greater spread of the virus and death. The data point to: the lack of outdoor space and sun, small spaces and absence of privacy, as factors that make daily life in confinement difficult, which can intensify domestic violence and stress.
