Abstract

The Evidence-Based Design (EBP) seeks scientific proof of the effectiveness or even efficiency of an intervention, incorporated into the traditional architectural design. This article proposes a theoretical reflection, based on a review of narrative literature. It starts from the hypothesis that the PBE extends to a methodology, framed in the design process, from the initial conception phase, extending to the verification of the project in the post-project and postoccupation phases. Similarity is observed regarding the creativity techniques used in both design processes. It is necessary, however, that the results measured are published to subsidize new evidence, whose application requires access and critical interpretation, to ensure discernment regarding the practical intervention of the strategies applied to the solution of the design problem.
