PROJETAR O AMBIENTE CONSTRUÍDO COM BASE EM PRINCÍPIOS ERGONÔMICOS

Abstract

Spatiality is an integral part of the nature of human being. The relationship between the person and the physical environment experienced is bilateral, with mutual influence. Ergonomics studies aim to adapt the environments to the activities developed and to the desires of the users. Conventionally, ergonomics analyzes pre-existing situations, however recent researches have been directed to incorporate principles of ergonomics in design processes, as a strategy to anticipate solutions to environment problems and to include users in decision-making processes. This article discusses the systematization of built environment design process including ergonomics principles. The objective is to demonstrate how conventional design methods can be enriched in order to insert users’ opinions and needs in projective stages. The research method is based on Design Science Research (DRESCH et al., 2015) and on two ergonomic analysis approaches: Ergonomic Methodology for the Built Environment - EMBE (VILLAROUCO, 2009) and the ergonomic design stages of Attaianese and Duca (2012). There are presented theoretical approaches for design steps, ergonomics parameters applied to the built environment, in order to promote a suitable approach of ergonomics techniques and instruments. The results pointed to a way of design thinking based on two points: understand pre-existing problems of real environments, and active participation of users as partners of ergonomics design processes. It is proposed to generate important interactions between users and experts among project processes directed to public and collective buildings.
