Abstract

he paper discusses the difficulties in developing an information system for historical buildings, aiming to stablish an adequate model of inspection, monitoring and interventions planning. It integrates a research still in an initial stage within the scope of the Department of Historic Patrimony of the Oswaldo Cruz House of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. It presents the main objectives of the study, traces the experiences and difficulties of a technical office specialized in the preservation of the institutional built heritage and points out future perspectives for the improvement of conservation actions planning.
