GINÁSIO EXPERIMENTAL OLÍMPICO

Abstract

This work is a product of the Built Environment Performance Evaluation (APO) subject (Master´s Degree in Architecture, PROARQ), taught by DSc. Giselle Arteiro. The article presents a qualitative and quantitative analysis, with emphasis on acoustic performance, of the Ginásio Experimental Olímpico (GEO) in Rio de Janeiro. The main objective of the work is to analyze the acoustic conditions of the GEO through the correlation of three APO instruments (Poem of Desires, Visual Map and Acoustic Measurements). The results showed a great user belonging and satisfaction with the analyzed school environment and pointed out some problems and annoyances that will serve to subsidize future interventions and projects.
