ANÁLISE DA ORGANIZAÇÃO DO ESPAÇO, SOB O ENFOQUE ERGONÔMICO, DE RESIDÊNCIAS VOLTADAS PARA PESSOAS COM TEA

Abstract

Ergonomics is the study of mutual actions and influences between human beings and space through reciprocal interfaces. Its main contribution in man-made environment is to propose action and mobility relations and conditions, define proportions and establish dimensions in specific conditions in natural and built environments, encompassing subjects such as environmental comfort and universal design. Therefore, ergonomics involves the individual and subjective perception of qualities, influenced by cultural, social and cognitive quality values of convenience, adequacy, expressiveness and pleasure. The aim of this work was to discuss how sensory issues are important when designing environments that should meet the needs of users that have sensory and cognitive processing disorder, such as, for example, people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To achieve this goal, a bibliographic review on related subjects and an analysis of the organization of the spaces and activities of five assisted living facilities for autists were carried out. The results showed a concern with organizing rooms in a way that it is easy to visually identify the activities and displacement axes expected in each space, in addition to establishing a clear division between social environments, with greater sources of sensory stimuli, and private environments with greater individual control of stimuli.
