AVALIAÇÃO DA PRECISÃO DE ALGORITMOS DE PREDIÇÃO DO RUÍDO DE TRÁFEGO
Keywords:
Traffic noise, urban planning, noise pollutionAbstract
Noise pollution is already considered as the second largest source of environmental pollution in cities and is a source of nuisance, and in certain cases, diseases for population. The main source of noise in cities is road traffic, which is important for the mobility. Urban planning can organize cities, and in this case, improves the coexistence of population with noise pollution. Acoustic maps are a useful tool for urban planning but are not accessible to all because of the cost and complexity of knowledge required for their use. An alternative is the mathematical algorithms obtained in the literature, and therefore free to use, that simulate traffic noise. But these may be outdated and do not represent the Brazilian reality. This work aims to evaluate the accuracy of a group of algorithms in the Brazilian highway traffic. There were used data from eight studies totaling 213 measurements in various parts of Brazil. The obtained results indicate that there is not a good precision in the results with a variation of precision with the increase or reduction in the volume of traffic and speed. Correction indices were tested, which allowed an accuracy of 93% of the results.
