ANÁLISE DO DESEMPENHO DA VENTILAÇÃO NATURAL EM UMA HABITAÇÃO DE INTERESSE SOCIAL ATRAVÉS DE SIMULAÇÕES CFD
Keywords:

Natural ventilation is one of the most efficient passives strategies for the passive thermal conditioning of buildings and should be used in countries with a hot and humid climate such as most of Brazil. However this resource is often underutilized specially in social housing (HIS) because of low-cost projects. Therefore the aim of this article is to analyse the performance of natural ventilation by wind action in a HIS. The research method used was CFD simulation using the software Ansys CFX. The case study of this research is a standard typology of social housing in Maringá – PR. The performance of natural ventilation was analysed considering the wind prevalent direction of the city. The research presents quantitative (wind average velocity in indoor environments) and qualitative (internal airflow) results, based on NBR 15575 parameters and Cândido et al. (2010) research. The results indicated that the wall very close to the building as well as the reduced size of windows have significant impact on the amount and velocity internal airflow, causing thermal discomfort of the users, although they are in agreement with the size of the openings required by the standard.
