ESTUDO DE CONFORTO LUMÍNICO EM ESCOLAS MUNICIPAIS EM CLIMA QUENTE E ÚMIDO

Abstract

É evidente que a qualidade dos ambientes internos na arquitetura escolar influencia na saúde, aprendizagem e rendimento das crianças, que constituem uma parcela significativa da população. Os ambientes escolares abrigam crianças durante um grande período do dia, sendo assim espaços de aprendizado, convívio social e desenvolvimento. Em decorrência da importância de estudar ambientes escolares no nordeste brasileiro, o presente trabalho propõe identificar a percepção e sensação de conforto lumínico de estudantes na faixa etária de 08 a 11 anos, em escolas de ensino fundamental da rede municipal em João Pessoa, Paraíba. Como método foram medidas as iluminâncias das salas de aula cujo sistema de iluminação incorpora a luz natural e a artificial, e fim de verificar o nível de satisfação das crianças, foram aplicados questionários adaptados à faixa etária dos participantes. Como resultado, três escolas e seis salas de aula foram analisadas, com valores médios de iluminâncias variando entre 1227 lux a 85 lux e valor médio de 339 lux. Sob essas condições 69,47% dos usuários consideraram a sala de aula ‘clara’ e, ao mesmo tempo em que 38,95% das crianças apontou a preferência por não haver mudanças, 36,84% disseram preferir o ambiente mais claro. Pode-se destacar que numa mesma faixa de iluminância (intervalo entre 211 e 276 lux) diferentes preferências lumínicas ocorreram, no entanto, ressalta-se que podem existir outras variáveis não estudadas que influenciam nos resultados.It is clear that school architecture influences students’ health, learning and productivity, affecting a significant amount of the population. The school environments shelter children during a large period of the day, thus being spaces of learning, social interaction and development. Due to the importance of studying school environments in Northeastern Brazil, this paper aims to identify the perception and sensation of visual comfort in the students age group of 8 to 11 years in municipal elementary schools in João Pessoa, Paraíba. Classroom illuminances were measured considering both natural and artificial lighting in order to verify the students’ level of satisfaction questionnaires were applied adapted to their age. As result, three schools and six classrooms were analyzed, with meanings ranging from 1227 lux to 85 lux and mean value of 339 lux. Under these conditions 69.47% of users considered a 'bright' classroom and at the same time 38.95% of children pointed preference for changes, 36.84% said they preferred the ‘brighter’ environment. Illuminance preferences ranged from 211 to 276 lux.
