O USO DA ILUMINAÇÃO NATURAL COMO DIRETRIZ NOS PROJETOS DE ARQUITETURA ESCOLAR

Natural lighting is part of the life cycle of the human being, and can be studied and understood under physical, physiological, psychological, architectural and / or aesthetic aspects. The present work dealt with a study about the use of natural lighting as a key element to obtain light comfort in school architecture, investigating possibilities of optimizing its use, more precisely, in classroom environments. A case study was carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco - IFPE / Campus Recife. In this study, the lighting conditions were analyzed, from the measurements of the levels of natural and artificial illumination in the interior of classrooms and in points of its proximity - circulation and internal garden. It was verified the inefficiency of the use of only natural lighting in classrooms of block "B", with the demand for artificial lighting to obtain the levels of illumination necessary to carry out activities. It is necessary to consider the study of natural lighting still in the phase of architectural design. For that, some architectural interventions were proposed that aim to optimize the internal natural lighting of the classrooms, aiming at the luminous comfort of the users and the energy efficiency.
