The thermal performance of a building depends on several factors, and the specification of the materials for the external envelope is one of the main aspects to be considered. However, the choice of construction systems in Social Interest Housing (HIS) is often made due to low cost and not about thermal aspects. In an HIS project, the characteristics of the surfaces of the external envelope and the ventilation strategies are the main elements that influence comfort, since this typology hardly has an air conditioning system. Therefore, the objective of this article is to analyze the influence of different constructive systems on the thermal performance of the external envelopes of an HIS. The research is based on parametric simulations of thermal performance using the Energyplus® software, using as a case study a standard HIS typology in the city of Maringá-PR. The results were analyzed using the analysis criteria established by NBR 15575 (2013), for summer and winter conditions. According to the results, it was verified that the different opaque and transparent constructive systems, when combined for parametric simulations, presented unsatisfactory environments according to the normative parameters. On the other hand, the choice of varied construction systems allowed the introduction of little applied materialities for the social housing pattern, making it possible to analyze the thermal properties that most influence the temperature values obtained on typical summer and winter days for the city of Maringá - PR.
