CONFORTO TÉRMICO DE CRIANÇAS EM SALAS DE AULA
UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DE LITERATURA
Keywords:
thermal comfort, primary schools, secondary school, systematic reviewAbstract
The well-known thermal comfort models have been useful to evaluate adults’ thermal perception. However, studies show that they are inadequate for children. In this scenario, this paper aims to present a literature review about children’s and teenagers’ thermal comfort in classrooms to list the main factors that make the actual models unsuitable. A systematic review of papers published in the last decade shows that most studies were carried out in naturally ventilated classrooms. Most of the documents pointed to a divergence between well-known thermal comfort models and field observations. In general, children preferred colder environments than the ideal ones proposed by regulations, indicating the necessity of carrying out new studies. Existing gaps that make it difficult to completely understand the subject are related especially with the lack of studies about physiological and socioeconomic analysis and adaptive actions associated with these aspects.
